The Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival 2019 is just around the corner and this time it is going to be held in South Korea. The details and list of the films which are going to be screened at the festival have also been released.
The festival will open with the premiere of Edgar Nito’s movie, The Gasoline Thieves and a total of 288 movies from over 29 countries will be screened at the film festival. It is a matter of pride given the fact that four Indian movies will be screened at the festival as well. Three of them happen to be Bollywood movies namely Gully Boy, Andhadhun and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi while the fourth is a Tamil movie, Super Deluxe starring Vijay Sethupati and Samantha Akkineni which released on March 29, 2019. The jury members of the festival include Korean director Lee Eon – Hee, Japanese director Kaneko Shusuke and Korean actress Uhm Junghwa.
The Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer Gully Boy was much appreciated for its story as well as the rap songs, while the crime thriller Andhadhun received tremendous response from the audiences. Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi performed well at the box-office along with decent reviews by the critics.
