Vidya Balan is quite a talented star. Th actress has proved her mettle more than a couple of times when it comes to taking on and portraying challenging roles to perfection. Vidya has had a fair share of hits and flops but the actress has reached that stage today where she is unquestionably deemed as one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood. In a recent interview with Filmfare, the actress spoke about the time when she wasn’t doing so well in Bollywood. The actress spilled the beans on the time when after having five consecutive hits Paa, Ishqiya, No One Killed Jessica, The Dirty Picture and Kahani, the actress had four consecutive flops.
Vidya told Filmfare about the time she couldn’t take the flops anymore and broke down. She said, “Before HAK (Humari Adhoori Kahani), Ghanchakkar, Shaadi Ke Side Effects and Bobby Jasoos had also flopped. Mahesh Bhatt saab called me on Sunday morning saying,”Vidya I am sorry but HAK nahi chali.” After hanging up I began sobbing uncontrollably. Siddarth took me to the Sai Baba mandir in Chembur. It was raining heavily but the way I was crying in the car, it could compete with the downpour outside. I wondered what I was doing wrong now and what I’d done right earlier. Then I said forget it. You cannot negate the entire experience. You must enjoy the journey. If a marriage breaks up you can’t say that the couple never enjoyed happy moments together. You’ve got to be able to appreciate the good. That became a turning point for me.” Grab the latest copy of Filmfare to read the full interview.
