Randeep Hooda clears the air around his exit from A Suitable Boy

A lot of speculation has been made around Randeep Hooda’s exit from Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy. Initial reports suggested that Randeep got into an argument with his make-up artist over his look in a scene. Allegedly, it later escalated into a physical fight. This incident took place in the absence of the director Mira Nair. Apparently, she then asked Randeep to quit the project given the unpleasant incident.

Clearing the air, Randeep opened up about the incident in an interview with a leading daily. The actor elucidated that it was never a physical fight but a small argument. He also went on to reveal that he had finished his part in the project, which was short enough to be covered in four days. Only then did he move onto the next project. Randeep further clarified that the make-up artist has worked with him for years. He will also be working with Randeep on his next project, Radhe, with Salman Khan.

Randeep Hooda plays Billy Irani in A Suitable Boy. The series is an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s classic novel and also stars Ishaan Khatter and Tabu in the lead roles.
